Services in GP Surgeries/ Pharmacies

Most doctor's surgeries in Warwickshire and some pharmacies offer a stop smoking service. The service is provided on a one-to-one basis, usually with a Practice Nurse or Pharmacist/Pharmacy Assistant. Quitters will get regular appointments over the first few weeks of quitting, along with prescriptions for nicotine replacement therapy, Zyban or Champix.

Stop Smoking in Pregnancy Service

Pregnant smokers can be referred from a midwife to a Smoking and Pregnancy Advisor who will visit the smoker in their own home. The Advisor can also support other members of the family. To access this service, smokers can contact their midwife or phone 0800 085 2917.
