No Smoking Day 2009 –
11th March
The theme for this year’s campaign is “Take
the First Step” and focus on how much money people can save when they stop
smoking for good. Smokers are invited to set 11th March as their quit date and
prepare to take the first step to improve their health by becoming smokefree.
Warwickshire Stop Smoking Service can help
by providing regular support over the first few weeks of quitting, along with a
prescription for nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum, etc) through
doctor’s surgeries, pharmacists and drop in clinics in the county. The service
is free and smokers who use it are four times more likely to succeed in stopping
than trying to stop without help.

Smoking Service phone free on 0800 0852917 or visit the
